I am a busy mum of four children, including a very special, 'unusual and quirky' son who is a complete fidget and does not like to settle at night.
A friend, who is part of an Autism Support group, suggested trying a weighted blanket. After doing some research and seeing the prices of the weighted blankets available to buy, I decided to make my own.
I enjoy sewing as a hobby and I am not pretending to be an expert, but I think I can offer a quality product at the fraction of shop prices.
I have personal experience of children on the Autistic Spectrum and I have completed a Certificate in Autism Awareness and a Sensory Processing workshop, so I feel I have a good idea of the needs of those with ASD. However, weighted blanket therapy is not limited to those with autistic traits and they have been known to help both adults and children with many different issues from ADHD to sleepwalking.

I have had the opportunity to meet many wonderful people while doing this over a very short space of time. Please visit my Facebook page, where many people have shared their experiences.
